The usb 2.0 Active Repeater Cable acts as a single port hub, which means that multiple cables can be cascaded (up to 5 to increase the distance between your computer and USB devices. It can extend the distance of a USB Device up to 40/80 feet. Up to 4 of the USB 2.0 Active Extension cables can be linked together to extend the distance to your USB peripheral to 80 feet (4 USB 2.0 Active Extension cables + 1 16' USB 2.0 Cable)
The specification for USB states that the maximum length of a USB cable is 5 meters (16 feet). As a result, you cannot extend the distance of your USB device more than 16 feet without using a USB "active" extension cable (also known as a USB repeater cable). This cable contains active electronics which boost the USB signal for maximum reliability and performance over extended distances.
It is possible to connect up to four (4) of these repeater cables together to get a total length of approximately 60 ft.
Features: - Cascades to extend the distance of up to 25m between the USB device and the computer
- Regenerate the USB signal for maximum reliability and performance over extended distances
